Need to request a reasonable accommodation? The Peoria Housing Authority (PHA) provides reasonable accommodations for persons with disabilities in accordance with Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

What is a Reasonable Accommodation?

A reasonable accommodation is a change in rules, policies, practices, or services that allows a person with a disability to have equal access to housing programs and services.

Examples of reasonable accommodations include:

  • Accessible parking or unit modifications
  • Assistance animals
  • Changes to inspection scheduling
  • Alternative communication formats

How to Submit a Request

To request a reasonable accommodation, complete and submit the online request form on the reasonable accommodation request page.

You may be asked to provide documentation from a medical professional verifying your disability-related need for the accommodation.

What to Expect

  • PHA will review your request and may contact you for additional information
  • Requests are typically reviewed within 10 business days
  • You will receive a written response with the decision
